Renovation by Kasa Made

The renovation, start to finish

You may have already watched this one come back to life.

Kate and Sam of Kasa Made documented this renovation as it happened — the demolition, the framing, the finishes chosen and re-chosen, and the long stretch in between where a house is nothing but studs and dust.

What began as a period weatherboard on a quiet West Footscray street is now a four-bedroom home built around the way a family actually lives. The original street frontage was kept and restored: the return verandah, the red brick piers, the picket fence. Everything behind it is new.

If you've been following along, this is the part where you get to walk through it.
